MILK

The research-communication project Milk was launched in 2002 in co-operation with Kristina Leko. The project included documentation, research and media representation of the true situation of the traditional vocation of a milkmaid.

Starting from the hypothesis that one of the side-effects of introducing the EU legislative could be the disappearance of this exclusively female calling, the project was an initiative to introduce the issue in the public discourse, and to focus the political and administrative decision-making on the protection of the vocation in question. The project was rounded off with an exhibition at the Expanded Media Gallery of the Croatian Association of Artists, and all of the documentation of the extensive research was archived and made available online.
