ADVENT IN GAJEVO: COLLECTING MATERIAL FOR THE TREŠNJEVKA NEIGHBORHOOD MUSEUM COLLECTION

Dear neighbors, 

you have started cleaning up and decluttering to prepare for the holiday season, and you found a box full of family photos, your old scout badge, a tracksuit from one of sport societies, or a school diploma?

We invite you to visit us at ADVENT IN GAJEVO, where we joined on invitation of the Trešnjevka Cultural Centre, City District Trešnjevka - jug, and the Local Committee Area Gajevo. On SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, FROM 3 UNTIL 7 P.M. we will be collecting your contributions for our Trešnjevka Neighborhood Museum virtual collection, at the premises of the new Community Centre Gajevo (where Local Committee Area is located, too) in KOPRIVNIČKA 47.

We kindly ask you to bring us your family, sports, school, work, and other memories from Knežija, jarun, Srednjaci, Prečko, and Rudeš that you wish to share with others. Our virtual collection already has 500 contributions and keeps growing, in order to give value to the stories of your and our neighbors that are not part of official history. All your items will be immediately digitalized and returned to you right away. We invite you to look at the collection and find more information at www.muzejsusjedstvatresnjevka.org. Besides gathering contributions for the collection, at Advent we will be showing stories and collages created within the '' Paper that heals: paper collage and words'' workshop, led by artist BOŽENA KONČIĆ BADURINA and writer OLJA SAVIČEVIĆ IVANČEVIĆ, as well as announce a new edition of the workshop that will be held next year.
